A passion project, based on a song that has been on repeat for me.
PROJECT GOALS
A song that also tells a story about freshly falling in love, this song , produced by Kaytranada and sung by Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) , follows the point of view of someone who feels entranced by the new person in their lives so much that it feels bewitching.
I wanted to illustrate the metaphor used in the song where Childish Gambino sings, "You're being witchy and I love it girl," in which their date is using witchcraft to cast them lovestruck. The style of the illustration was also inspired by the pre-chorus lyrics in which the Gambino sings, "In your eyes, I realize, its voodoo."

Stories told through music are a huge inspiration for me because it is another form of story-telling everyone loves to consume. Story telling through music evokes so much emotion and this story about catching yourself falling for some one is one that will be on repeat for a while.
